Self-Service Laundry in St Julian's
WhizzFix runs a self-service laundry at 88 Triq Birkirkara in St Julian's, open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 12pm. A wash is €8, drying is €1.50 per 10 minutes, the machines take card, and staff are on site the whole time. If you would rather not wait, drop the bag with us and collect it washed, dried and folded in 2 to 3 days.
Where we are
We are on Triq Birkirkara, the road that climbs from the St Julian's seafront towards San Ġwann and Birkirkara, a few minutes by car or a short walk uphill from Spinola Bay and Balluta. Look for number 88 and the WhizzFix sign. There is street parking on Triq Birkirkara itself and on the adjacent roads, and the nearest bus stops are about 20 metres from the door.
Open Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday 10:00am to 12:00pm. Closed on Sundays. The self-service machines are available during opening hours and take card and contactless payments.
How the self-service machines work
- Separate your laundry and load a machine. Detergent is available on site if you have not brought your own.
- Choose a programme and tap your card or phone to pay.
- Move the load to a dryer and pay per 10 minutes. Most loads dry in 30 to 40 minutes.
Staff are at the counter throughout opening hours, so if a machine is unclear or you want a hand with a duvet, just ask.

Who uses it
Residents of St Julian's flats without a dryer, students in the language-school apartments, and guests of the hotels around Spinola and Paceville who need a load done before they fly. Many people drop a bag with the staff on the way to work and collect it on the way home.
